Commitment Announcement: Sophie Hart Joins SUNY Cortland!
We are proud to announce that Sophie Hart, daughter of Seneca and Steven Hart, has committed to SUNY Cortland to continue her hockey career and pursue a degree in Sports Management beginning in Fall 2025!
A native of North Richland Hills, Sophie has been a cornerstone of the Dallas Stars Elite program for five remarkable years. As a strong and reliable defenseman, Sophie is known for her fearless approach—never shying away from playing the body or blocking a shot. Her tenacity and leadership on the ice have made her an invaluable part of the team.
One of Sophie’s favorite memories at DSE is winning regionals in a thrilling shootout and earning the opportunity to play at nationals in Florida during the 2023-2024 season. These moments of triumph reflect her dedication and drive to succeed alongside her teammates.
Her parents, Seneca and Steven, share their pride in Sophie’s accomplishments:
